Edinburgh Garden School is one of the UK’s leading providers of online gardening and horticulture training. Our courses allow you to study from anywhere in the world, in your own time and at your own pace.
We endeavour to provide you with full information about the content of courses, any prerequisites for enrolment and our recommendations about the time required to complete each course.
In enrolling on your chosen course you are confirming that you’ve received enough information and are satisfied that the learning programme you have chosen is suitable for your needs and abilities.
Please note that our study programmes and materials are designed for adult learners. If you wish to enrol a student under 16 years of age, please contact one of our advisers to discuss this, and the extra support that may be required, before enrolling.
Our courses undergo regular redevelopment and updating to meet latest syllabus requirements. While we make every effort to ensure the information on our website is as up-to-date as possible, this may mean that course content varies slightly from that shown.

You will be deemed to have accepted the course if you do not notify us otherwise within seven days after delivery.
Online course materials are supplied for use by the student identified during enrolment only. The student may save one copy of the materials on their personal computer and also print one copy of the material for their personal study use only. Materials must not be distributed in anyway, to other people or online. Breach of this condition will result in immediate cancellation of the course without refund.
If course material is accidentally deleted during the duration of your course, we are happy to provide new copies, delivered to your email address.
The version of printed notes supplied is the most up-to-date version available at the time of enrolment. The fee charged covers cost of production and delivery for one set of printed notes. If the course is updated during your course (for example, in response to updates to the RHS syllabus) we will supply a copy of the updated material at no cost in a .pdf format only to your chosen email address. Printed notes are printed in black and white, not colour.
Please inform Edinburgh Garden School immediately of any changes to the contact details you supplied at the time of enrolment. Failure to do so will mean that we are not able to provide you with course updates or further batches of study material in a timely manner.
Courses run for a study period of 12 months. If you encounter difficulties that you believe may prevent you from completing your course within this time, please contact a student adviser at the earliest opportunity to discuss the situation. In some cases it may be possible to enrol as an external student for a further 12 months only. The cost of this is currently £50.
